About me

I was born and raised in Denmark, and this is also where I make my art. But I love to travel and experience new cultures and people — and this is where I find inspiration for many of my works.

Curiosity is the keyword in my artistic work. It can be curiosity about shapes, colours, or motifs. I often aim to bring out some textural substance in my images — especially when I work with mixed media such as paper, newspaper, pencils and so on.

In addition to working as an artist, I also teach young people in art and design. Here I try to inspire them to see the many possibilities within the visual arts.

I sign most of my art "FruB" — the Danish version of "Mrs. B", and it has been my artist name for a while now.

I paint because it makes sense — it makes me happy.
